Alfie's Flock & Garden began with one very special bird.
They always say, "You don't choose the bird, the bird chooses you," and for us, that couldn't have been more true. The day we met Alfie, a little cockatiel, there was no denying he was meant for us. He flew right to me and did not leave my side. We hand-fed him and watched him grow.
The years we had with Alfie were special, and the bond we shared was unmatched. One day, he flew away, and although we never found him, we still like to imagine him soaring freely, joining a welcoming flock, and making some friends. We know it's only a dream, but it's one that still brings us comfort. That hope reminds us why protecting wild birds and the places they call home matters so much to us today.
After Alfie flew away, we began paying closer attention to the wild birds around us. What started as hope for one little bird quickly grew into a passion for all birds. We found ourselves learning the names of the birds at our feeders, planting flowers for hummingbirds and pollinators, and creating a backyard that welcomed wildlife throughout the seasons.
As our independently owned small business grows, we're carefully selecting products we'd happily use in our own backyard. Every item is curated based on quality, practicality, and a genuine love for birds and nature. We're also proud to donate 1% of every sale to the American Bird Conservancy to help protect birds and the habitats they depend on.
